Newest video game vixen
Games, Government| June 5th, 2008
A new video game is in the works that promise to deliver what could be the hottest video game vixen of all time. That’s right ladies and gentleman, for all those that have been writing in requesting it, the time has finally come. Former U.S. Justice O’Conner is joining the ranks of video vixens.
That may be a stretch as no word yet on whether she will actually make an appearance in the game or not. She is however involved with the project. I applaud her for branching out and finding something to do in her retirement, but have to wonder if she is suffering from dementia. A game to teach children about the court system? Really? Never mind the topic, should any one educated enough to use “vitriolic” effortlessly in conversation ever be involved with a video game? She is just about as far from having her finger on the pulse of current trends as possible.
That sounds a bit harsh, no real details of the game have been released, and it is after all going to be an educational game for children. Thinking back on the computer games back when I was in school, it didn’t take much. Although I do not really remember learning much from “Oregon Trail”. “Where in The World is Carmen Sandiego” was by far more entertaining and probably more educational. Perhaps O’Connor’s new game will be able to achieve the same level of success.
Coming soon: “Justice: Bring the Hammer Down On Those Godless Activists” .

While you may think that she is not down to earth…have you met her? She is much more down to earth than you may imagine. I have no clue if her video game to teach children how the government works will be good or not, but there’s no one else out there doing it. And, you must agree that our children are lacking in their ability to understand the fundamentals of government. If this tool can reach out and help only 1% of our children it will be worthwhile. You probably don’t know that Sandra just admitted her husband into a long term care facility for Alzheimer’s…I’m sure she can recognizes the signs of dementia.

How very interesting, I will definitely have to give this one a try. I wonder how it will play, hopefully like an RPG where you get better skills and attributes as you successfully punish criminals. You could get robes that give your character +2 to liberalism, or the ultimate gavel with +5 to constitutionalism. Let’s just wait and see.

Okay- I have to disagree with you and opine that the world has long been in need of a Justice Sandra Day O’ Connor videogame. However, I was personally hoping for something more along the lines of a first person shooter. Like: “‘Lethal Justice’- Sandra Day O’Connor takes a machine gun in hand and lays down the law”…hmmm?
