Here in the south (for those who don’t know me, which is just bout everyone, I am in the Atlanta, GA area of the good o’le US of A) we take our drinking very seriously. Even more then the safety and security of our own children. In fact we prefer to strap in the beer and put the child seat in the trunk. God forbid anything happen to that 24-pack of bud. That would just ruin the night. Besides having it strapped in next to me makes it easier for me to grap one as I drive.

True this happend in Florida which is not really part of the south, but still reflects poorly on the rest of the South. To think that it is important for your beer to be buckled up but not the 16 month old is simply stupid. I should probably add a stupid parenting award to the Stultus Awards. I am surprised they didn’t have a car seat to put the beer in, as that would make it even safer.

Let us review, the beer was strapped in, the child was in the back seat not buckled, they found two “pipes”, the driver refused the breathalyzer, and she had no idea why the child was not buckled up. Sounds like a perfect nanny to me. Bet she is a barrel of monkeys come Friday night.
