Round one of entrecard leap frog
Uncategorized| February 6th, 2008
So I recently signed up over at Entrecard and I have been exploring the site and dropping my card, when I decided I needed to make this into a game. And thus was born Entrecard Leapfrog. And yes this is “widget surfing”, except my purpose was not to drop alot of cards (although that is a consequence), but to see how far I could get following the ads/cards. I suppose you could simply call it surfing a big wave, but leap frog reminds me more of my childhood.
The rules:
1. Pick a site from Entrecard. I just went to the campaign page, selected the first category to display, selected the the site with the highest credit value.
2. Go to the site.
3. Drop your Entrecard.
4. Record the sites url.
5. Follow the Entrecard ad to the next site.
6. Repeat steps 3 -5 until you either repeat a site or get to a site that is displaying its own card.
7. Post the links in order in a post on your blog.
The end. Now I was going to try to look up each sites value on entrecard, but it was not that easy, so if you have any ideas let me know. If you do decide to participate in the leapfrog, please post a link in the comments section to your results.
So here are the results of my first Entrecard Leapfrog:
I started at “Bloggin Resources” and jumped to:
1.Ben Barden
2.Hochstadt
3.Controversial Marketing
4.Kevin H. Davis
5.Iwah
6.Affiliate Confession
7.Ez Money Online
8.Raymond Loesch
9.Eisabainyo
10.IT Etc
11.Makoyskie
12.Beautiful and Happy
13.Wayfarer Wings
14.Ragnarok
15.Ragnarok Guide
My posting these links is in know way an endorsement of the sites. Although I did spend a little time at each and even commented on a few. Unless they come up in a future leap frog then I will likely not visit them again. Unless they happen to stop by here and drop a card or a link themselves.
I know this may not be stupid or odd, but this falls under my eccentricities so live with it and have fun.

I’ve actually done this before — haven’t called it Leap Frogging though! It’s interesting that you can only get 15 deep before the end of the chain.
Thank you for the link!

Aywren >> I actually expected it to be less. But it was very interesting to see where I started and where I ended up.
noelevz >> I call it “leapfrogging” but have also seen it referred to as “widget surfing”. This time I randomly picked my starting point, next time I may start at a blog I routinely visit and see where it takes me.

I do this to see how far I can go and to find new blogs until I reach a dead end. I landed here today by playing!
