I have tried to figure out what retarded sushi truly is. And no I am not talking about the sushi you eat having a third eye or constantly drooling, I am talking about this blog. Apparently a good blog has a central theme, some common point that the posts circle around as a floaty circling the drain.

I have tried to figure out what I know that I could write about and started a list:

  1. computers
  2. programming
  3. games
  4. movies
  5. food
  6. sex
  7. TV

Then I went through and started marking each one off the list for various reasons.

I like computers and programming, but do not have the in-depth knowledge to write about it daily let alone weekly. I could talk about software testing, but that doesn’t seem to fit with the title of the blog (perhaps I should start another blog dedicated to software QA).

I like games, but again not enmeshed enough to write a truly worth while blog about it.

As for movies there are plenty of sites out there about movies. And I could also include an occasional retarded post about a movie here and there. But not really enough to be the main theme.

Food, I like to eat it.

Sex, I like to it as well. But not able to spend the time to make it a worth while sex stop nor do I want to share my sex with anyone other then my spouse.

TV already occupies to much of my time. And probably falls into the same realm as movies.

So what then should retarded sushi be about? Well, if I can’t write about what I know then perhaps I should write about what I am. I have often been described as rather odd, crazy, eccentric (although not until I am rich), stupid, and just plain retarded for the way I act, things I say, and things I do. OK that works, but I don’t have enough of a life to write just about my own. But it takes one to know one so perhaps I can write about others and the stupid or retarded things they do? Why stop there? Why not vent, air, discuss any craziness or oddness? Sounds good.

 Great now what exactly does that mean. Well it starts with the news. Most posts are likely to be commentary about recent news taken from oddly enough or strange news feeds. I am not limiting myself to just writing about news articles, I also intend to take some time occasionally for bizarre videos. I also plan on starting something I like to call the Sunday Stream, where every Sunday I start with a single line and then write stream of conscience. Additionally there will be the rant of stupidity which is basically me just ranting about something stupid, usually something else someone has said, done, or thinks.

Sit back, take a big bite, and try not to choke as you enjoy the subtle flavors of retarded sushi.
